Each month we will challenge our Design team to create a project using five specific items. What colors they use and what they choose to make is entirely open to them. Such an open-ended challenge means that there is such a wide variety in what is created.
This month the 5 items were Art Stones, Stencils, 2 BIG numbers, a frame, Monochrome color scheme. Check out some of the gorgeous creations created with this month’s challenge!
I really like our blog challenges. They are always extremely inspiring and unique. I love seeing each of us approach the subject differently. Today I have for you a slightly dark project with many layers. It is quite simple, the composition is clear. I used one stencil in two ways. I applied 3D gel through it and got a pattern in the background. The liquid acrylic paint perfectly highlighted all the details. And the second way – I made a pattern on the frame using vintage gold wax. The whole was completed with mechanicals and elements from moulds. -Kasia

For my little MIXED MEDIA CANVAS I started off by creating a mixed media background with some stencilling& I also used some of the Art Alchemy paints like watercolors.I then set to the challenge that some of the design team girls played around with.

Challenges are always a great starting point when you just don’t know what to create. Which is why I decided to play along with our 5 Ingredients Challenge this month. I decided to stick with blue since it’s this month’s #Primacolorday. I started by using a bit of texture paste in the background of my hoop. Next, I added a cluster with Finn’s Grungy Frame. Once I had my cluster in place, I decided to turn it into a shaker. I hope you like it! -Lanette

Hi everyone, today we play with monochromatic projects. So, I decided to creating project with deep blue color and in vintage mood. To create the background I used one of my favourite stencil Gothic and so amazing mica powder. I mixed it with liquid color – fluid medium to get efect I like it. I used various moulds and a little bit of vintage silk wax. -Wuwu

I was excited about this challenge. I knew right from the start that my project was going to be purple. I love purple! I used a lot of Finnabair moulds and mechanical flowers. ReDesign’s Insectica & Stars mould was a perfect fit for this project. The result is exactly as I imagined. I hope you enjoy it too! -Sanna
