“Mother’s Day is approaching so what better than the Avec Amour collection to celebrate this day? I used Together Forever pattern paper for this project made with a heart-shaped canvas, perfect for the theme. I incorporated into this project a photo of me and my children in Venetian shutters. I have created some nice details with Finnabair Nocturnal Insects Moulds and Sharon Ziv Window To The Soul Moulds but also by adding tickets as well as SIICs here and there. “My mother is a queen and I wanted to create a gift that embodied that. Avec Amour is the perfect collection to create that regal yet feminine chic vibe. I started out by applying Modeling Paste through a Finnabair Stencil. To highlight the texture, I spritzed the canvas with water then added dots of Liquid Acrylic in Prussian Blue mixed with Fluid Medium. The water makes the color flow around your texture beautifully. To lighten the color further, add more water and dab away the excess paint.

To decorate this pretty background, I chose pink and white flowers from the Avec Amour collection and papers and ephemera in blue and mint. I stacked them up along with a chipboard shape covered in Copper Foil Flakes to create dimension and texture.

The crowning jewel on this piece is the regal queen mould with her large headpiece. I added some flower ephemera to her hair then put a touch of blush on her cheeks with a bit of Dusty Rose Impasto Paint!” -Adrienne
