Fusion generally refers to the process or result of joining two or more things together to form a single entity. Chances are you’ve heard of Fusion restaurants where chefs are able to seamlessly blend entirely different cuisines into a delicious meal. But, Fusion isn’t just for creative food combination.

Have you ever thought about merging two seemingly unrelated craft activities? Imagine combining crafts that, at first glance, appear unlikely to harmoniously coexist. Macramé, a form of textile-making that employs knotting techniques rather than weaving or knitting, and paper crafts—specifically techniques suited for scrapbooking and card making—seem like entirely different pursuits. However, with the perfect blend of creativity, it’s possible to create a composition where these seemingly unrelated activities seamlessly come together.

Take a look at the amazing way Tanya and Stacey seamlessly blended macramé with paper crafting! Have you tried your hand at a little bit of crafting Fusion?

‘Hello dear friends! Today is all about Macramé on the Prima Marketing Inc. blog. I created this Slimline Card featuring the stunning The Plant Department collection. I added this super cute mini Macramé wall hanging in the center as the focal point of my card and adorned it with the beautiful blue flowers from this collection, die cut leaves, SIIC and a sweet sentiment ‘just perfect’ from one of the ephemera packs. I finished it off by adding some splatters with Finn’s Ice Queen metallique paint.’ -Tanya

‘I love macrame, it’s one of my favourite things.  The Aquarelle Dreams collection features the most beautiful hand painted macrame design within its papers.  Along with the stunning mould, it’s the shabby crafters dream.’ -Stacey
