Reniferove

I was in a mood for something dark, mysterious so I decided to create dark canvas with shades of emerald green and light blue. Amazing die cuts from Midnight Garden collection fits perfectly to my compositions. I love how metallique paints looks on dark surface, Emerald Green is just amazing on black gesso. Art Pebbles adds nice accent and metal elements are just cherry on top!

Hello, Everyone! I adore to create backgrounds using mixed media products. Finnabair line has so many different pastes, paints and mediums that the process of creating is such a pleasure! This time I was inspired by a note card from Darcelle collection. I love wooden patterns and textures, so I use 2 cards from this set. I choose very nice old photo from “Vintage photobooth”, cut some flowers from Darcelle paper collection. my background was made using some rust effect pasts and paints, I also applied Paper paste through a stencil. I love this color combination of brown, purple and yellow. I hope you will like it too. ~Nadya Drozdova

I played with matte and glossy in this project. I started by painting the whole box black using Black Heavy Gesso and then added Rust Paste on top. Both of those are matte. Then I made the composition and added a bit more rust on top. But then I changed to glossy and shiny and added some “Sparks” acrylic paint to the composition and topped the shine up by using some glitter! The opposites do attract, don’t you agree?

“Today we are celebrating all things Finnabair. I have created a Mixed Media canvas featuring lots of my favorite Finn products. I have painted my canvas with Impasto paint in color Mediterranean. Next I added texture with paper texture paste over the tapestry stencil. I then mixed some Impasto paint Lemon Peel with white crackle texture paste and applied this randomly to the background. I then randomly stamped some wording featuring the carte postale stamp. Next I added a photo from the ‘Words you need’ sticker book. I layered the photo onto some chipboard pieces which have been painted with Finn‘s metallique paints and waxes. I adorned my photo cluster with a tree branch, some moulded embellishments, wool and pretty Prima flowers.” – Tanya
