It’s All About The Hexagon!

We challenged our team to create some beautiful projects surrounding a hexagon theme! A uniquely abstract theme. We are excited to see what they have come up with!

I love various forms in scrapbooking so much, and I wanted to use the hex form in an unusual way. I put together the base for altered scrap, cutting out the shape several times. I wanted to make a motivating object that will inspire me, standing on the desk. I used some stunning collections here: one of my favorites ‘Spring Farmhouse’ by Frank Garcia (I cut flower wreaths from it), ‘Pretty Pale’ and one of the last released – ‘Apricot Honey’ (there are absolutely stunning flowers in this collection, just look!). In the end, I added various toppings – amazing Finnabair products.

When I see a hexagon, I always think of honeycombs and bees.  So I wanted to incorporate both in my mixed media hexagon.  For my background, I used a combination of Finnabair’s paper paste and white crackle paste and then added color to it with her gorgeous Sparks acrylic paint in Chest of Gold.  I used a 3×4 journaling notecard from the Spring Farmhouse collection and some flowers from the same collection.  My project wouldn’t be complete without the Re-Design mould Royalty to make the cute bees! Bzzzz!
