Born and raised in São Paulo - Brazil, Rommel Okuma has always been involved with crafts and arts. After a long time estranged from his creative side, he rediscovered the world of paper crafting after a Scrapbook Trade Show, and hasn't stopped creating ever since. Rommel's projects has been published on both domestic and international specialized magazines, also figuring as a guest designer of projects issued on Brazilian, American and European blogs. He'd already been a member of local and american manufacturers' design teams. His classes of mixed media projects are very well known, and he always has a new concept or technique to share with both beginner and advanced crafters. What he loves the most about teaching is to share his passion about art and being inspired by each student's stories. In Rommel's word: "Scrapbooking means more than just keeping my memories close and registering good moments. This artistic manifestation gives me many possibilities to express myself and my stories. Fun moments, music, books, movies, my daily life... all of these inspire my artistic works". Currently, Rommel is a member of Prima Educator Team and travels all over Brazil teaching creative classes.
