Through the years Prima has created so many different and wonderful collections. But with so many news collections sometimes we forget about old gems. So this week we are visiting some of our old favorites. Do you have a favorite collection?
“Hi everyone. I don’t know how about you, but I love Prima’s older collections and I am very happy to come back and play with them. This time I chose the really “old” ones;) I used “Engraver” and “The Archivist” collections. Do you remember them??
I created a junk journal full of lace, fabrics, and dried flowers. I also used transfers with plant tints that fit perfectly here and beautiful handmade paper.
This Journal is pretty chunky:) There are a lot of tag spots, envelopes, and different kinds of pockets just for tags or photos.” –Wiola

“Memories of Doris”
Hello there, thanks for stopping by. Today I have a vintage layout to share with you & it features this magnificent photo of my “Great Great Aunt” Doris Colless circa 1907. She was the sister of my great-grandmother. I am sooo very lucky to have this photo as well as some other beautiful family photos taken back in this era.
So for my layout, I have used papers from the “Midnight Garden” collection. It is a slightly older collection but absolutely perfect for scrapping old photos!!! I did some fussy cutting with the papers which are just sooo beautiful.
With a little stenciling with some “Red Amber” Icing Paste, a few splatters, lots of layers created with the papers I fussy cut from the paper pad & I am almost done!! I have given a colour wash with some watered-down Sparks paint in “Iris Potion” to the Sharon Ziv flowers, which are dusty pink tones so that they were just the right shade I was after. I was super happy with how they turned out. I have also added a really old doily behind my photo which was my grandmother’s too. So happy with how this all came together.
It is wonderful to actually scrap this old photo & also get to use the old doily instead of just having them stored away. This way I get to see them & it gives me great joy.
I hope I have inspired you in some small way to perhaps scrap some of your old family photos too.
-Cheers Di Garling

“Today is all about old collections over at Prima. I created a Layout (photo credit to Magic Moonlight Free Images) featuring a combination of the adorable and sweet collections Dulce designed by Frank Garcia and Heaven Sent 1 and 2.
I used white cardstock as my base. I mixed some Finnabair white crackle texture paste and raspberry pink Impasto paint and added texture with a stencil on the bottom section of my page.
I used two sheets of pattern paper for the top section, one from Dulce and one from Heaven Sent. I randomly tore pieces off the one side of both sheets and used a punch to create a pretty border for each. I then placed them onto the white cardstock.
Next, I painted the word LOVE from the Prima decorative chipboard with vintage rose metallique paint, added some foil and then glossy accents, and left it to dry. Once it was dry I split the letters.
I adorned my photo with gorgeous Prima flowers, fussy cut elements from both collections, chipboard stickers, lace, magic love enamel charms, SIIC, and the L O V E chipboard title.” – Tanya

Hello Dearies!
Today we are sharing projects made with Prima’s old collection.
I have created a set of ATCs using beautiful “Coffee Break – Chai Tea” flowers, “Apricot Honey – Deep Love” paper and fussy cuts from the “Golden Coast” collection.
Here are a few tips before we go into details :):
Tip1: Make your own texture paste – Mix “White Sand” texture paste with “Mica Powders” to get beautiful grainy colored texture paste.
Tip2: Make your own metallic paint – Mix “Mica Powders” with “Acrylic Fluid Medium” to create beautiful metallic paints.
I started by applying prepped texture paste(Tip1) through the “Mind Games” stencil on the acrylic ATCs. I kept them aside for drying and started prepping the “In the Garden” chipboard, gear and dragonfly mould embellishments with the paint I had prepared(Tip2). Once dried, I highlighted the mould embellishments with the white gesso.
Then I started creating the composition by layering the gear and the dragonfly embellishment in the center of the base. Then I layered the chipboards on the left side of the composition. I then added “Coffee Break – Chai Tea” flowers and inserted fussy cuts from “Golden Coast” in between the layers.
To adorn the project, I added memory hardware pearls, art stones and sequins. I then added art pebbles and white gesso splatters.
To finish the project, I added “Apricot Honey – Deep Love” paper to the base.
Hope you like the ATCs, Happy Crafting!
