Each year we have nearly 10+ new collections. Each one is carefully crafted and perfectly curated with beautiful paper and coordinating embellishments, so it isn’t hard to be excited about each new collection. But sometimes it’s nice to take a moment and look back on all the beautiful collections Prima has created over the years. Since we were feeling a little nostalgic and decided it would be fun to revisit some of our “old” favorite collections. Do you have an “old” favorite you love to create with?
“Today is all about Old collections over at Prima Marketing Inc. I pulled out the stunning Fruit Paradise collection and created this bright and lovely mixed-media Canvas. I used lots of amazing Finnabair products for my background, chipboard pieces and die cuts and gorgeous Prima Flowers to adorn my photo (credit to Magic Moonlight Free Images)” – Tanya

Moon Phase Artist Trading Cards
“I always love revisiting old Prima collections. It’s a chance to look at the collection with fresh eyes and new creativity. One of my old favorites is Frank Garcia’s Moon Child collection. I’ve always loved astronomy and so I was completely taken with the collection when it came out. The color palette and the touches of holographic foil make this collection so pretty. Getting a chance to play with it again was
so much fun.
I decided to make a set of artist trading cards in the shape of the moon phases. I cut out a circle and two crescent moon shapes using some nesting circle dies and acetate. To help define the acetate, I painted the edges of the moons with White Gesso, then splattered them with white gesso to create a crater-like effect.
Once the gesso was dry, I added on some of the tulle ribbon from the collection, pleating it and adhering it with hot glue. I then used Heavy Body Gel to layer flowers as well as some fussy cut bunches of flowers and butterflies from some of the papers from this collection.
To amp up the sparkle on this project, I painted Finnabair’s Crushed Ice Effect Paste on the edges of the flowers and sprinkled on the star sequins from the Moon Child collection. I finished off these little moons by adding some of the gems from the Say It in Crystals pack from the collection.
I think these little acetate and floral moons are just so adorable! And I enjoyed the opportunity to use up some of what has been in my stash for a while.” -Adrienne

“I wanted to create an altered brush with a summer feeling. The Miel collection has a romantic vintage style, so it fit perfectly for my project. My brush became so sweet and summery. Right? And how about these cute bees. They are whispering to you: “You are honey!” -Sanna”

Here is an altered wooden that I created using bold and beautiful Magnolia Rouge collection. Red and black is one of my favorite combinations and this collection has such beautiful patterns in red and black tones. The foil accents are a plus and add such beauty to the project. Here I have layered two different pattern papers on the base and built the composition using the grorgeous flowers, fussy cuts, and mould embellishments which were prepped using royal red metallique paint and gold metal flakes.
Happy Crafting!” -Veena

“Hello, everyone! Prima has some beautiful brand-new paper collections, but sometimes it is so interesting to create something using the old collections because they are lovely too! I chose the quite old Darcell collection. I really like its color palette, the combination of brown, purple, and blue is just gorgeous! I decided to create a grungy but floral canvas using some flowers also from previous collections, moulds, and paints. You can watch the whole process in the video tutorial.” -Nadya
