  • Time Stands Still

” TIME” is certainly an element on everyone’s mind lately. For some, it may be standing still, and for others it is passing much too quickly. Each image, artfully layered here, represents a little of both in these lovely projects by three of our Design Team members below. The flight of the bird, the closed doorway, soft light from the candles, soon to burn out….all serve to enhance the overall impact of the clock elements used.

I adore using clock elements in my projects. They give a meaning or play as an accent in the work. Moreover, it’s also very convenient to use, if you are working in such styles as “Steampunk”, “Vintage”, “Provance”. In my case, I mixed clock element with the gentle paper collection “Poetic Rose”. Hope you will like my idea!

It’s not easy to find inspiration to create right now …. But I really think that in these special times … we all need some creating time !

I create this altered time clock using some Finnabair’s products and a bunch of the gorgeous Pretty Mosaïc flowers.

My mother found this old clock in her attic a few month before my move and she gave it to me. This clock travelled here in Canada and I never took the time to play with it …  It’s all done !!

I covered it with the Art Extravagance- Rust Paste- Military Rust set and added different shades of colors mixing some Art Philosophy Watercolor tubes and Finnabair’s paints.

Clocks are one of my favorite subjects and the most used element in my work. I love them in any form, as cardboard, metal, paper or casting. Clocks have such an enchanted magic, thanks to them you can go back a few decades or centuries and create a wonderful design in a retro atmosphere, or move to the future and create something futuristic. I usually go back to feel at least for the moment a vintage style, get dirty with rust. Today my clocks have been covered with patina. For a moment I managed to stop the flowing time and daydream.
