Unique as a snowflake

The theme of the day is SNOWFLAKES! I love the unique spin each project has taken. Despite all designers beginning with the same theme, each has ventured into a distinct direction. This week we have a design that use an intricate paper snowflake as a canvas, another that created ornaments, and even another still that used a snowflake as an accent rather then a focal point. Each artist has incorporated their own unique style and color palette rendering each project as unique as a snowflake.

Now it is your turn to create something that represents the snowflake theme!

Oh how I love creating Christmas decor! This time I crafted these two beautiful snowflakes. I used molds to create the base, then painted them with Mica Powder paints and wax from Finnabair, and of course added a touch of shimmer. I think they turned out very festive.

The soft blue color palette was created by mixing White Gesso and Liquid Acrylics. This project is a soothing mix of the winter season with the elegance of Prima Flowers. For this Prima Snowflake day, I decorated a magnificent paper snowflake with the beautiful Christmas Market collection by Frank Garcia. I used lots of little things like Ephemera, Chipboard Stickers, Lace Trims, the sublime Mirror Frames and of course the beautiful Prima flowers from the collection to decorate this pretty Christmas snowflake. I love this pastel color combo for a pretty, magical and sweet Christmas decoration! I hope you would like it too!

Hi! Today I have a sweet and simple Christmas project for you, from one of my favorite collections on this topic – Candy Cane Lane. I made a shaker that can be a Christmas tree pendant, but also an interesting way to send Christmas wishes. This collection has so many beautiful images that it doesn’t take much to create such a design. You can cut out Santa Clauses, reindeers and flowers from papers – just put everything together and the project is ready.

Pendant made in a sewing frame, the central part in transparent acetate, where stencil and snowflake paste were used to give a nice background to the final project.

The snowflake paste has a subtle sheen that goes very well with the floral composition. With a vintage style.

Today on the blog is all about snowflakes! I altered This lantern, using tons of Finnabair paints and metal embellishments! That new Nutcracker mould is just amazing with so much detail, I used antiquing wax on it to give it an old school vibe! I used effect paste to get that perfect crystal look on the flowers and top!
